Our first RIGG-OUT to make this feature has all been selected from the Paul Smith Jeans Collection and has a very “LADDY” feel, possibly football match/pub, but with a huge dose of quality, take a peak the images below.

This week we are taking a closer look at the Boss Green Magnum Net Trainer in this white and grey colour way, the shoe itself has been making its presence felt down on our shop floors for just over three weeks, and we believe we know why…

So, have they made a good impression? The shoe is built from the most performance enhancing materials, with weight, feel and of course style being the head components. Lets begin with the outer aspects of the shoe, the sole for instance is made up of ultra light and flexible foam, with green rubber inserts for immense grip and stability.
The upper of the Magnum Net has materials, mesh, leather and clear rubber. The grey mesh being the main fabric is ultra light and has a hexagon pattern whispering though. The white leather adds a clean cut image to this technical trainer, without making a spectacle of your so treasured feet. The Rubber however, if you look closely at the shoe, the rubber is there as a protector, cleverly placed in the areas most at danger from the terror of scrapes and scuffs, plus makes for some bespoke branding techniques, right more image’s I here you say…

Yes folks, you heard it here first, we have decided to extend our footwear offerings, and landed one of the World finest shoemakers. Loake have been crafting footwear since 1880 and whilst the World around them has changed in a dramatic fashion, the Loake ethos could not be more the same. These guys are still making shoes and boots in the same Kettering based factory that was built in 1894 by the three brothers that founded this luxury brand. Today at The House Designer Wear we have hand picked some of Loake’s finest shoes, especially the brogue kind, each shoe is given a name that twins some of Britain’s towns and villages. So, let us introduce you to The Loake Brogue Guide.Â

However, we haven’t stopped at brogues, we have also tried our hand at the Brighton Tassel Loafer in this fantastic oxblood leather, so here’s a cheeky image of the traditional Loafer and also Mr Tom Daley sporting a pair.

Don’t worry, we are not here to discuss cups of tea or anything like that, as per usual we have style on our minds, and felt like using this abandoned kitchen for a scenic background. Today’s style subject however is timeless classics, essentials that sit in a blokes wardrobe prepared for any occasion, these pieces do not go out of style, they have survived seasons, years and even decades.
Now, let’s start with the Brogue, historically born in the Scottish highlands and built to withstand the elements, this shoe has colossal power and bags of style. In our kitchen picture’s you will find the Paul Smith Fin Brogue’s sat by the pink toaster and the Paul Smith Panorama Brogues in that very dirty oven of ours. So, traditionally worn in fields, by farmers, in the rain, well not anymore, brogues have been outselling all other shoe silhouettes in both our stores.
Also, in these kitchen snaps you will find a pair of very, very famous sunglasses, yes, there they are perched in that love hearts mug. The tortoise shell RayBan Wayfarer, this timeless shape of shades has survived wars, and even saw England win a World Cup once.
Moving on, we would like to give a heads up to Eton Accessories, as we are always singing the Swedish Brands praises for their fantastic shirts. But, this season we thought the time had come, to shout about Eton of Sweden’s other offerings. So, if you can head to the image with the two Eton Pocket Square’s you shall see some of the wonderful paisley and checks going on, these pocket square’s are growing ever popular at The House and we feel it’s a look to watch out for.

Isn’t it Beautiful? We feel this print really has mystical powers, just imagine if you could step inside and take a stroll around, absolutely amazing. The Sheen Printing is an art in it’s own right, but to play it out on a Paul Smith T-Shirt is mind blowing.

Yes, the shoe probably most associated with Summer, sea and general Seasideness has today been introduced to the cold, hard North-East Snow. The shoe in question is The Paul Smith Gossamer Boat Shoe, this shoe has just arrived here at The House as part of the PSJ S/S13 collection.
The reason for the Snow is it makes for a great setting and helps show off the classic shoe silhouette with these fantastic photos. This pair of stompers is destined for warmer climates and belongs on the beach, getting covered in sand and seagull sh*t… But, that is not possible yet so snow we shall have.

 So did you spot all the wonderful details, all the expert craftsmanship that’s gone into the Gossamer Boat Shoe? Well if you didn’t we shall go over a few…
We will start with leather upper, hand cut, sewn and stitched built to last and get better with age. The laces are also leather and our favourite detail on this shoe is the purple leather heel detail, how cool is this little Paul Smith twist on such a traditional shoe, I know we expect this from Sir Paul but this is special. The Shoe also has a leather/crepe welted outer sole, which on a Bot Shoe is very appealing. White insoles, and brass metal logos make the finishing touches to this amazing, must have Summer Shoes.Â
Ladies and Gents, we give you the Paul Smith Powe Wing Tip Brogue in this amazing Dark Tan Leather. The Powe has such a fantastic feel and look, that is so historic and genuinely beautiful. So beautiful it has inspired this little flashback photoshoot, so set your mind back to when people were honest, technology wasn’t even born and shoes where simply amazing.
